Pachi Karam Garelu or Green Chilli Chekkalu is a spicy and flavorful variation of the traditional South Indian snack Chekkalu. Popular in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and other South Indian states, these crispy snacks are prepared with rice flour and fresh green chillies, giving them a distinctive spicy taste and traditional homemade flavor. Similar traditional snacks are also known as Thattai in Tamil Nadu. Pachi Karam Garelu are prepared by mixing rice flour with fresh green chillies, groundnuts, cumin seeds, butter, curry leaves and selected spices, and then frying them carefully in oil until they become crisp and crunchy.
